Audit Process and Community Safety Strategy

This is the third and most comprehensive community safety audit carried out in the Wyre Forest District. The 2004 audit has attempted to collate data and information from a number of sources, including:

• A statistical review of crime, disorder, drugs and alcohol data from 2001 to 2003;
• A countywide crime, drug and alcohol misuse Citizens’ Panel Survey;
• A residents’ fear of crime survey;
• A business community survey;
• A young people’s survey;
• A review of information from focus groups undertaken during 2004.

The above information and key findings allowed specific priorities and priority neighbourhoods to be identified.
